Namna Privacy Policy
Privacy in Namna is product-level, not policy-level theater. The app stays local, manual, and off your accounts.

Overview
Namna is a privacy-first financial planning app for iPhone. We designed it so your plan data stays on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Data Collection
The Namna iPhone app collects ZERO personal financial plan data.
This section refers to the iPhone app. If you sign up for the website newsletter on namna.app, your email address is saved to a private signup list and is not connected to your in-app plan. The website also uses Vercel Web Analytics for privacy-friendly page analytics, not in-app plan tracking.
- No email addresses from the app
- No names
- No phone numbers
- No location data
- No device identifiers
- No usage analytics inside the iPhone app
- No advertising tracking
- No third-party analytics services
- No bank or brokerage connections
- No credit card or payment details (payment is handled entirely by Apple)
Data Storage
All plan data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage:
- Your age, take-home pay, monthly savings, retirement target, money items, saved What If changes, language preference, and automatic local snapshot history are stored only on your iPhone
- Data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers
- We have no servers — there is nothing to transmit data to
iCloud Sync
Namna does not currently use iCloud sync.
If that changes in a future release, this privacy policy will be updated before the feature ships.
Backups and Exports
Namna lets you create exports that you control:
- Excel workbook export — a workbook that summarizes your plan inputs, money today, What If changes, and projection data
The workbook is created only when you ask for it and is shared through the iOS share sheet to a destination you choose, such as Files, Mail, or Messages. Namna does not upload it anywhere.
The workbook is for your own records or sharing only. It is not a restore or reimport format.
Notifications
Namna does not use push notifications and does not send marketing notifications.
Payments
If you purchase Namna through the App Store:
- Payment is handled entirely by Apple
- We do not receive your credit card number or billing details
- Apple may provide us with limited transaction reporting, but not the personal financial information you used to pay
Data You Control
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete money items: Remove any savings or investment item from your plan at any time
- Delete What If changes: Remove saved What If changes at any time
- Clear your plan: "Clear local plan" in More > Settings wipes all plan data from your device
- Delete the app: Uninstalling Namna permanently deletes all plan data
- Export first: Before clearing or deleting, you can export an Excel workbook to keep a copy for your own records
Third-Party Services
The Namna iPhone app uses zero third-party services:
- No in-app analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, etc.)
- No crash reporting services (Sentry, Bugsnag, Crashlytics)
- No advertising networks
- No social media integrations
The marketing website at namna.app uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page traffic. It does not connect to your app plan, newsletter email, bank accounts, or device-local Namna data.
Children's Privacy
Namna does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. Because no data leaves the device, there is no mechanism by which we could receive children's data.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date above
- Surface a notice in the app on the next launch
- Keep the previous version available on request
Data Security
While we don't collect your data, we take local storage seriously:
- All data is stored locally on your device
- Your device's built-in encryption protects your data at rest
- No network transmission means no interception risk
Your Rights
Under GDPR, the Philippines Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), CCPA, and similar privacy laws, you have rights regarding your data. Since we don't collect your data:
- Right to access: All your data is visible in the app
- Right to deletion: Delete items, clear your plan, or uninstall the app
- Right to portability: Export an Excel workbook at any time
- Right to opt-out: Nothing to opt out of — we don't collect data
Financial Disclaimer
Namna is a planning tool, not financial advice:
- All projections are estimates under the assumptions you set
- Amounts are shown in today's pesos; inflation, withdrawal taxes, and market swings are not modeled
- Reference rates shown in the app are conservative planning proxies, not guaranteed returns
- Namna is not a substitute for consulting a licensed financial professional

Summary: Namna is a local-first iPhone app. Your plan stays on your device. The website may measure page traffic, but it does not collect, store, or transmit your in-app plan. Namna provides planning estimates only, not financial advice.
